Brian has been a sales guy throughout his career. He counts himself extremely fortunate that his first ever selling role after leaving Edinburgh university was with Mars Limited (makers of the Mars Bar, one of the world’s largest confectionery companies and still family owned) where investment in people development and training were a real focus. His years with Mars included a spell as the youngest ever team member in their export department, when he toured the Middle East as a 21-year-old ‘Overseas Marketing Manager’

The first sip in Brian’s coffee selling experience began in May 1988 and he has been steeped in coffee ever since. After almost 3 decades selling for two of Scotland’s largest coffee roasters and latterly from his role as Sales Director with ‘Brodies of Edinburgh’ Brian realised a career long ambition and in July 2105, established his own family run coffee business.

The creation of ‘Henry’s Coffee Company’ was prompted by the birth of his first (and only so far!) grandson Henry. From a standing start, Brian has built a company that now supplies more than 150 customers across Scotland who lovingly serve upwards of 150,000 cups of Henry’s coffee to their customers every month.
